A little poem originaly intendend for a remembrace to a friend but I felt if best to place it here.
Distant dreams And shallow hearts Why is that all that matters? Distant screams And hollow promises Why is that all that matters? Why is it you? Why is it all that haunts me? Why can’t I shake you? Shake you out of my heart. Show me a sign of forgetfulness Show me a sign of distant cries. How long will I cry? How long will you haunt my dreams? How long before I forget that day! Why is it you? Distant dreams Why is it all that haunts me? Distant screams Why can’t I shake you? Distant memories Why can’t I shake you out of my heart? You lay out stiff and exposed You laid your world next to mine I guess we were never really the same. Maybe this was all you thought about. Was all you said just a lie? |
